Zoho Corporation’s enterprise operating system has grown 150% in the past two years

Zoho Corporation, the Chennai-based software development leader, said its commercial operating system Zoho One had grown by 150% in the past two years, while 37.5% of new customers came from companies in the medium size and enterprises.

He said Zoho One now supports 50,000 organizations in over 160 countries. License upgrades by customers who adopted Zoho One five years ago increased by 92%, contributing to this growth. “These numbers highlight the market shift away from more static legacy applications and towards end-to-end solutions that allow organizations to be agile, scale and adapt to changes in their industries,” said the company in a statement Wednesday.

In India, Zoho One has grown by 64% over the past two years. Over 45% of demand was driven by Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities, indicating the increase in business digitization in non-metros. The main sectors contributing to the growth are IT and professional services, BFSI (banking, financial services and insurance), retail and wholesale trade, education, real estate and construction. The most used applications are Zoho CRM, Zoho Cliq (team chat), Zoho Meeting (web conferencing), Zoho WorkDrive (document storage and collaboration), Zoho Projects (project management) and Zoho Analytics (business intelligence and information). During the pandemic, the use of collaboration apps such as Cliq and Meeting has increased dramatically.

“An integrated organization is therefore usually a reflection of underlying integrated systems. This is what we see with our own customers. Nearly half of Zoho One customers use 20 or more applications across all functions, integrating their organization and yielding higher returns. With Zoho First, we’re setting the tone for the rest of the industry on what a platform, or rather an operating system, for businesses could be. We’ll continue to lead the way,” said Hariharan Muralimanohar, Head of Marketing at Zoho One.

Zoho One was launched in 2017 as a one-of-a-kind suite featuring 35 built-in apps. Today, Zoho One is the operating system for businesses, a platform comprised of 45 unified apps along with end-to-end services including AI, business intelligence, contextual communication and unified search, enabling companies to manage all aspects of their organization, from sales and marketing to finance, HR and analytics.
